Roughstock Mining completed a Preliminary Economic Assessment (PEA) for a major silver producer in northern Idaho. The project included 3-D design of transverse and longitudinal long hole stopes, and cut and fill stopes utilizing an existing block model. It also included development design of primary ramps, secondary access, support cut-outs (sumps, electrical cut-outs, etc.). The study also included design of mine infrastructure including vertical ore and waste passes, ventilation passes, backfill infrastructure (sand and paste), and underground utilities.
SUMMARY
The project included providing manpower and equipment requirements, cost analysis for various mining methods including conventional mining, cut and fill, longitudinal, and transverse long hole stoping. The final product was an internal PEA report provided to the client.
